Burst supply lines, failed shut-off valves, overflowing fixtures and heating failures during cold weather. A licensed journeyperson is dispatched within two hours within our standard service area, and within four hours beyond it. Emergency attendance is charged at $185 for the first hour and $135 for each hour thereafter, inclusive of the service call. Parts are billed at cost plus fifteen per cent, and the invoice itemises both.
Blockage clearance by cable machine or high-pressure water jetting, depending on the obstruction and the condition of the line. Camera inspection is included without charge on any drain we clear, and the recording is provided to the client. Where a recurring blockage indicates a failed or root-infiltrated lateral, we provide a written assessment and a quotation for repair or lining before any excavation is contemplated.
Supply, installation and commissioning of tank and tankless units in natural gas, propane and electric configurations. Removal and responsible disposal of the existing appliance is included. All installations are permitted where the municipality requires it, and the permit number appears on the final invoice. Typical tank replacement, supplied and installed, ranges from $1,850 to $2,600 depending on capacity and venting.
Service, repair and replacement of hot water boilers, circulating pumps, expansion tanks, zone valves and radiator systems. We maintain a substantial stock of parts for older systems that other firms decline to work on. Annual maintenance contracts are available and include a written condition report each autumn.
Rough-in and finish plumbing for renovation projects, coordinated with the client's contractor, cabinetmaker and tile setter. We provide a fixture schedule at the outset so that ordering errors and delivery delays are identified before the walls are opened rather than after.
Annual testing and certification of backflow prevention assemblies by a certified tester, with the report filed directly with the City of Ottawa on the client's behalf. Testing is $145 per device, with a reduced rate for properties with three or more devices.
Supply and installation of primary and battery-backup sump pumps, and of mainline backwater valves. Subsidies are available from the City of Ottawa toward backwater valve installation in eligible properties, and we will prepare and submit the application on the client's behalf at no additional charge.
Water quality testing, followed by specification and installation of softeners, iron filters, ultraviolet disinfection and reverse osmosis units. Well-water properties in Ottawa's rural west are a substantial portion of this work and are quoted on the basis of a laboratory analysis rather than a sales estimate.
Scheduled preventive maintenance for small apartment buildings, retail units and professional offices, with priority response for contract clients and a fixed labour rate held for the term. Contracts are written for twelve or twenty-four months and are terminable on sixty days' notice by either party.
Complete plumbing rough-in and finish for custom homes and infill projects, working to the drawings and to the Ontario Building Code. We carry $5,000,000 in commercial general liability insurance and provide WSIB clearance certificates on request at any point during a project.
